LEFAY SPA METHOD SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE

The Lefay SPA Scientific Committee is composed of doctors and consultants specialized in the various subjects and disciplines that constitute the Lefay SPA Method. Prof. Maurizio Corradin, specialist in Sports Medicine and teacher of Classical Chinese Medicine, is the director of the Scientific Committee and since 2008 has been working with Lefay Resorts in the creation of the method and the Lefay SPA Therapists’ professional training.

Prof. Corradin graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery at Padua University School of Medicine and specialized in Sports Medicine at the same university. After several years working at the Physiopathology Respiratory Department of Padua hospital he devoted himself to the study of Natural Medicine and Chinese Medicine studying with French and Chinese Teachers. He also studied scientific and energy dietetics which he has taught in various natural medicine courses.
He studied Acupuncture at the SAN LI School in Rome and Manual Medicine and Posturology at AIRAS (Italian Association for Research and Scientific Updating) in Padua. He has been a lecturer in Phytotherapy and Acupuncture for several University Master Courses. He is a lecturer in Acupuncture and complementary Techniques at the Xin Zhu School in Rome and Airas in Padua. He is director of the scientific Phytotherapy course at AIRAS Padua. He also teaches Chinese Medicine applied to Shiatsu at the Hakusha School of Milan. In 1997 he received the FISA (Italian Federation of Acupuncture Schools) qualification as a teacher of acupuncture and complementary techniques. He has not only published articles for popular magazines but has also taken part in television broadcasts on national channels and is the author of various texts on acupuncture and complementary techniques: Organi e Visceri in Medicina Cinese (ED. Dr. Di Stanislao graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1978, specialist in Dermo-syphilopathy and Clinical Allergology and Immunology. He is board member of the Ordine dei Medici de L’Aquila (Medical Fraternity in L’Aquila), President of the Provincial Commission on non-Conventional Medicines, Coordinator of the National Observatory on non-Conventional Medicines of the Ignazio Silone Foundation, member of the scientific Committee of the Italian Association of Phytotherapy and Phytopharmacology as well as of the Editorial Committee of the magazine for professional updating “Omeopatia33”. Currently he is Secretary of the Ethical Committee of ASL 04 in L’Aquila, professor without tenure at the Universities of L’Aquila, Siena and Chieti, Secretary of the Abruzzo-Molise Section of the Italian Association of Territorial and Hospital Allergology.

Dr. Ceccherelli graduated in Medicine and Surgery from Padua University in 1977 and in 1980 he achieved the Diploma in Anaesthetics and Reanimation at the same University. In 1989 he got the Diploma in Physiopathology and Pain Therapy at Verona University. He is a medicine researcher confirmed at the Institute of Anaesthetics and Reanimation at Padua University. At the same time, during the ‘80s, he enhanced his preparation in the field of reflex-therapeutic techniques.
In 1980 he was awarded the acupuncture doctor diploma by the Austrian Society for Acupuncture and Auriculotherapy, Section of the International Society of Acupuncture in Paris, in Vienna and, during the same year, was also awarded the acupuncture doctor diploma by the Specialization School in Acupuncture and Complementary Techniques of the Italian Institute of Acupuncture in Turin.
In 1996 he was awarded the FISA (Italian Federation of Acupuncture Societies) Italian Acupuncture Certificate in recognition of having been awarded the acupuncture doctor’s diploma by the Italian Institute of Acupuncture in Turin.
In 1996 he was awarded the title of Lecturer in Acupuncture and Complementary techniques by FISA (Italian Federation of Acupuncture Societies) and, again in the same year, he was granted the title of FISA Director of Acupuncture School and Complementary techniques by FISA.
In addition to the numerous publications between 1984 and 1988, he was scientific director of the journal Minerva Medica - Riflessoterapeutica e Laser terapeutica (Minerva Medica – Reflex therapy and therapeutic laser treatment).
From 1989 to today, he has been Scientific Director of the scientific review: Giornale Italiano di Riflessoterapia ed Agopuntura (Italian Journal of Reflex therapy and Acupuncture). In 1998 he was included in the International Advisory Board of the journal Komplementer Medicine of Budapest.
In September 1998 he was nominated Corresponding Editor of the journal: Acupuncture and Electro-Therapeutics Research, the International Journal published by the International College of Acupuncture and Electrotherapeutics of New York.
He carries out intensive clinical and experimental research and is Director of the Italian Association for Research and scientific updating (AIRAS). He has published articles on pain in the most important Italian and international journals.

Dr. D’Onofrio graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery at L’Aquila University. In 1986 she obtained the Specialization in gynecology and obstetrics. In 2004 she also specialized in hygiene and preventive medicine. In parallel to her scientific studies she dedicated herself to Chinese and Natural Medicine and was awarded the diploma in acupuncture A. M. S. A (School belonging to the Italian Society of Acupuncture) where since 1999 she has been a teacher in the four-year course. She was also awarded the diploma of acupuncture by the Italian Federation of Acupuncture Schools (F. I .S .A). She is a lecturer at various University Master courses (Chieti, Milan and Siena). She is also Director of the Phytotherapy course in Teramo and the acupuncture course at the Xin Zhu School. One of her interests is the application of cosmetology, phytotherapeutic principles and the Chinese micro massage. She is also interested in and has written reports on the dietary sector and the physiopathology of obesity.

After her education and training in dance at the Professional Off Jazz School in Nice under the artistic management of Gianin Loringett she moved to Chicago where she danced at the HUBBARD STREET DANCE CO. After she returned to Italy she taught jazz dance and finished her studies as a Psychomotility therapist under the supervision of Dr. Battaglia in Brescia. After a 4 years education and training, in 2000 she finished her studies at the Feldenkrais Training Institute of Milan. Her interest in the Pilates method, a constant factor in her professional growth, culminated in her receiving a certificate in February 2004 from the Cova Tech Pilates School of Milan, a School recognized by the Pilates Method Alliance of Miami. She opened the first Pilates Centre in Desenzano.
